Jessica Moody, L.Ac

1:1 Acupuncture + Herbalism Treatments

Jessica Moody, L.Ac, received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine. She is a board certified and licensed Acupuncturist with experience working in a busy integrative clinic on the east coast that specialized in pain management and Internal medicine. She has recently moved to Portland and is finishing her Doctorate with a focus on women’s health, orthopedics, and mental wellbeing. She also has extensive experience treating injury recovery, chronic pain, migraines, digestive disorders, insomnia, hormonal imbalance, fertility, pregnancy, menopause, as well as anxiety, depression, and autoimmune disease.

Jessica is passionate about helping people feel good in their bodies. She enjoys soothing the nervous system and relaxing muscle tension to bring the body, mind, and spirit into a balanced state of wellbeing. She first discovered the healing benefits of Acupuncture while navigating her own health journey with chronic pain and digestive issues from an autoimmune disease. The treatments brought her a sense of vibrancy and nourishment that changed her life. Her experience inspired her to dive deep into the medicine so that she could empower others to discover their own innate healing abilities. She uses a combination of gentle needle technique, tuina massage, cupping, gua sha, manual therapy, electro-acupuncture, trigger point release and acu-pressure to move the body into a state of alignment.

Jessica is clinically trained in Chinese Herbal Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX. She also completed an Herbalist Training Program through the Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine in Portland, OR. There she learned to harvest and make medicine with local medicinal plants in the PNW. She has a long history of using plants as medicine and is skilled at finding the right combination of herbs that will treat the underlying imbalances in the body.

Outside the clinic, Jessica enjoys being part of the Portland dance community, yoga, meditation, finding beautiful nature hikes and basking in the glow of sunsets. She also loves to travel and cook healthy food with friends.
